It occurred to me today that I should take a picture of the playmobil in my room because, after all, it won't be there forever. Like the baby gate that we had across the entrance to the hall when Hannah was a toddler. It felt like I had to step over that gate FOREVER, when in fact it was up for about a year. Dave is less than enthused about the playmobil. After all, the space is supposed to be occupied by a couple of nice, comfy chairs. That was the plan anyway. And someday we will have those chairs. But right now, it's such a great place for the playmobil...AJ and Emma and their friends play with it hour after hour after hour. Our bedroom is in such a handy location, right off the kitchen. So the kids play in there and the mess stays pretty much out of the way. My dresser is home to some kind of enchanted forest. The rocking chair houses animals, and the floor is covered with an interesting assortment of buildings and people. Not exactly designer decor. But the room rings with the joyful sounds of imaginative play. The comfy chairs... will just have to wait.
Love the post and yes, the chairs can wait. Ha!
